Itinerary

At 8 am Tour Guide will meet you at hotel reception. After a brief introduction, you will move for the city tour. Please note that the flow and places will depend on traffic and other road conditions. The tour guide may do minor changes during the trip overseeing the on ground situation.

St. John’s Church, originally a cathedral, was among the first public buildings erected by the East India Company after Kolkata became the effective capital of British India.  St. John’s Church is the third oldest church in Calcutta (Kolkata) only next to the Armenian and the Old Mission Church. St. John’s Church served as the Anglican Cathedral of Calcutta (Kolkata). Two marble plaques at the entrance of the St. John's Church mark the two historic events. Built by architect James Agg the St John’s church is built with a combination of brick and stone and was commonly known as the “Pathure Girja” (Stone Church). Stone was a rare material in the late 18th century Kolkata. The stones came from the medieval ruins of Gour, and were shipped down the Hooghly River. The church is a large square structure in the Neoclassical architectural style. A stone spire 174 ft tall is its most distinctive feature. The spire holds a giant clock, which is wound every day.

The Church complex has monuments of Black Hole.  A monument erected in memory of many soldiers killed under the jail custody of Shriaj ud daullah

Church complex also has the Tomb of Job Charnock, known to be the architech of Kolkata

B.B.D. Bagh, formerly called Dalhousie Square, is the shortened version for Benoy- Badal-Dinesh Bagh. It is the seat of power of the state government, as well as the central business district in Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal. B.B.D. stands for three young Indian independence activists — Benoy, Badal and Dinesh — who on 8 December 1930 shot dead the Inspector General of Prisons, N.S. Simpson, in the balconies of the Writers' Building of the then Dalhousie Square. The square had been named after Lord Dalhousie, Governor General of India from 1847 to 1856. At different times it has been called ‘The Green before the Fort’ or Tank Square. The B.B.D. Bagh area is near the Hooghly river in the western part of the central Kolkata and is a square built around the old Lal Dighi tank. The old fort built by the British was around where the General Post Office now is. The area was in the heart of Kalikata or the White Town in old Calcutta. The Dalhousie Square was included in the 2004 and 2006 World. Monuments Watch by the World Monuments Fund (WMF) due to "decades of neglect". After this listing the international financial services company American Express provided funding through WMF for the square's preservation.

The Victoria Memorial (Victoria Memorial Hall) is a large marble building in Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal, India which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria (1819–1901) and is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.The Memorial lies on the Maidan (grounds) by the bank of the Hooghly river, near Jawaharlal Nehru road. The Victoria Memorial's architect was William Emerson (1843–1924), president of the Royal Institute of British Architects. The design is in the Indo-Saracenic revivalist style. This style uses a mixture of British and Mughal elements as well as Venetian,Egyptian, Deccani and Islamic architectural influences. The building is 338 feet (103 m) by 228 feet (69 m) and rises to a height of 184 feet (56 m). It is constructed of white Makrana marble.The gardens of the Victoria Memorial were designed by Lord Redesdale and David Prain. Emerson's assistant, Vincent J. Esch designed the bridge of the north aspect and the garden.

Prinsep Ghat is built along the river bank of Hooghly. The Palladian porch in the memory of eminent orientalist James Prinsep, Anglo-Indian scholar and antiquary, was designed by W. Fitzgerald and constructed in 1843 the. The monument rich in Greek and Gothic inlays. Prinsep Ghat is one of the oldest recreational spots of Kolkata. The beautified stretch includes, illuminated and landscaped gardens and pathway, fountains and renovated ghats.

Any transaction falling under this agreement shall be subject to the existing laws, rules and regulations of governments, semi-governmental bodies and/or other Government agencies of India. The parties hereto agree to amicably settle any disputes arising out of this agreement. Should this not be possible, disputes shall be arbitrated by and in accordance with the Indian Laws.

All disputes to be addressed in courts of Kolkata.

Cancellation Policy

Guest can cancel 72 hours prior to the start of journey

If guest cancels after the above time frame, no refunds will be made
