Day 01: Bagdogra – Phuentsholing
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you will be greeted by your representative who will escort you on a scenic drive to Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s border town. As you travel through the lush green countryside, enjoy the picturesque views of tea gardens and rolling hills. On reaching Phuentsholing, complete the permit formalities and check into your hotel. After settling in, take a leisurely stroll through Phuentsholing town. Explore the local market, interact with friendly locals, and soak in the town’s laid-back charm. Conclude the day with dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at your hotel. -
Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu Sightseeing
After an early breakfast, set off for Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive takes you through scenic valleys, winding mountain roads, and charming villages, offering stunning views along the way. Upon arrival in Thimphu, begin your sightseeing with a visit to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang). Here, marvel at the magnificent Buddha Dordenma statue, one of the largest in the world, sitting atop a hill and overlooking the Thimphu valley. The panoramic view from this spot is breathtaking, making it perfect for photographs. Next, visit the Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in honor of Bhutan’s third king, His Late Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing – Nature & Culture
Post breakfast, continue your exploration of Thimphu with a visit to the Simply Bhutan Museum. This interactive museum offers a glimpse into Bhutan’s traditional lifestyle, architecture, and customs. You can even try on the national dress—the Gho for men and the Kira for women—for a memorable photo opportunity. Next, head to the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin. With its unique features—resembling a blend of a cow and a goat—this gentle creature is a symbol of Bhutanese mythology. Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing

Start with a visit to Ta Dzong, originally built as a watchtower in the 17th century. Today, it houses the National Museum, displaying a fascinating collection of artifacts, including traditional costumes, religious relics, and historical artifacts that provide insights into Bhutan’s rich heritage. Next, explore Rinpung Dzong, also known as the “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels.” This iconic structure boasts impressive architecture and a rich history. Day 06: Hike to Tiger’s Nest – Bhutan’s Iconic Monastery
After an early breakfast, set out for the highlight of your journey—a hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang). Perched dramatically on a cliffside, 900 meters above the Paro valley, this sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche flew to this spot on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave, making it a revered pilgrimage site. The challenging yet rewarding hike offers spectacular views of the monastery and the valley below. Along the way, stop at a charming teahouse for refreshments and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around Paro Main Street and explore the local market. Browse through shops selling traditional handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. Day 07: Paro – Phuentsholing
After breakfast, drive towards Phuentsholing. En route, visit the Tamchog Lhakhang, a 15th-century temple built by the revered iron bridge builder, Thangtong Gyalpo. The temple, nestled against the backdrop of towering hills, is known for its spiritual significance and scenic beauty. Upon arrival in Phuentsholing, check into your hotel and rest. Spend the evening exploring the town or simply relaxing at your hotel. -
Day 08: Phuentsholing – Bagdogra Departure
After an early breakfast, bid farewell to Bhutan as you drive back to Bagdogra for your onward journey. Your representative will assist with the departure formalities before you board your flight. Confirmation and Payment Terms
· Formal confirmation email along with guest Passports & PAN will be required
· 50% advance to be paid at the time of confirmation
· Balance 50% to be paid on or before the cut off date, which will be mentioned after confirmation
· All bookings are on pre payment basis.
· The itinerary will be released once payment receipts are confirmed.
· In case there are any tax liabilities or bank charges involved they would have to be borne by you.

Cancellation Term
- Once after confirmation : Rs 5000 per person
- Before Cut off Date : 25% of package cost
- After Cut off Date : 100% of the package amount
- "No Show" is subject to Full Booking Charges
- Amendment, if requested, cost will be provided on case to case basis.

· Hotel, Sightseeing, Meals, Transfers rate might change without any prior notice until & unless it been booked/ confirmed from your end.
· The change in dates will attract re-quote.
· Normal Hotel check-in time is from 14.00 hrs onwards. & check-out time is at 12.00 hrs.
· Additional Bank charges will be applicable, if payment is made in foreign currency.
· The above cost does not include any kind of surcharge if applicable during the given travel period.
· There will be an additional cost for an entire transfer between 22:00 - 07:00 hrs (if not stated inside the package) or out of SIC Schedule timings based on destination of travel.
· Please note there will be time gap between pick up from airport / Hotel check in & flight Landing. Also there will be time gap between flight take off & airport drop/ hotel check out. Hotel check in / out may be at a particular time. Guaranteed early check in / late check out will attract additional charges.
· At check in all guests will be required to present a Major Credit Card or pay a security deposit.
· Quotation is calculated at current exchange rates between as on quoted date. If the exchange rate fluctuates by more than 2% of the rate as on quote date, we reserve the option to revise the price accordingly
· Our quotations to you are in a specific currency and the invoices will be / are in INR to allow you to pay us in India. Hotel Travelia specifies a particular conversion rate for a particular invoice. By accepting or confirming the booking you are accepting the conversion rate specified by us. Quotation might change due to currencies ROE fluctuation during confirmation & booking process.

· If the said hotel is not available, alternate accommodation will be arranged, change in cost if any will be advised.

The hike to Tiger’s Nest (Paro Taktsang) is moderately challenging. It takes approximately 4-5 hours round trip, depending on your pace. The trail is steep but well-maintained, with scenic viewpoints along the way. Horses/ponies are available for hire to cover part of the trail, but the final stretch requires walking.
